Fresh Off The Runway: New York Fashion Week Spring 2015 April 19 2022
When New York Fashion Week Spring 2015 wrapped up towards the end of February, one thing was certain: there was no shortage of interesting looks, be it strange or off-the-charts stunning. Here are some looks we loved from the runway:
*Calvin Klein’s keyholes. A little slice of sexy from collarbone to navel, a round cut-out along the breastbone, lined in leather—however you look at it, it worked.
*Jason Wu’s fur detailing and slits. Swaths of fur wrapped around the neck of vests and coats, asymmetrically placed and giving an extra pop against otherwise unadorned fabric. Slits up to there—to the front, to the side— paired with plunging necklines. Love, love, love.
*Oscar de la Renta’s evening dresses. Let’s face it—Peter Copping had some big shoes to fill when he took over in the wake of de la Renta’s death in October. But as always, the evening dresses were beautiful—satiny, sexy, in bold colors and of bold design.
*Michael Kors’ spring dresses. We’re all at the point where we’re dreaming of green grass, growing flowers, and sunshine-y days that let us wear our favorite springtime dresses. Michael Kors’ collection was just that—florals and plaids, solids and plunging necklines…there’s nothing better to put you in the mood for a little spring shopping.
Whatever your tastes and preferences, the collections presented at the New York Fashion Week last month are sure to have something that suits you. If you were a fan of the vintage looks that resurfaced, be sure to check out the Rice and Beans Vintage website for some great finds!
